On Motherhood

Join Jamila Rizvi and Clare Bowditch for a soulful and celebratory evening of honest conversation and song. For this special Mother’s Day instalment of Tea with Jam and Clare, the girls will be joined by author and comedian Em Ruscianofor a discussion of personal victories, painful discoveries and the utter ridiculousness of modern motherhood.

Em Rusciano is one of Australia’s best loved well-rounded performers. With a finger in literally every possible piece of the performing pie, Em has hosted breakfast radio, writes bestselling books, releases chart-topping songs, sells out the Sydney Opera House with her live shows - and most importantly, wields a bedazzling glue gun like no one else on earth.

This will be a longer than usual Tea with Jam and Clare show, as Em and Clare treat the audience to a full blown musical spectacular performance of their favourite covers. It’s going to be a performance like no other, in celebration of the mothers amongst you and how generally awesome you are. It’s such a big deal that Jamila might event bring a tambourine.

Tea with Jam and Clare with Em Rusciano will be held at Melbourne Town Hall on Wednesday 15th May, where the seats will be cosy, the tea will be sweet and the room warm and welcoming. Free chai tea will be served on arrival from our good friends at Calmer Sutra Tea in the kiosk area, and there will be a few special giveaways to mark the most important day on the calendar.

Tickets selling fast and available here.
